Richard Nelson

Founder & Managing Director

After 20+ years of running around the world selling services for architecture, engineering and construction firms, Richard decided to establish his own independent consultancy to share his expertise.

Since founding Abyss in 2012, he has helped numerous AEC firms develop and implement successful international growth plans, working in over 80 countries along the way.

Richard is also Chair of the Institute of Directors Property & Built Environment Group, Co-Founder of Don’t Waste Buildings, Advisory Board Member to UKREiiF and USREiiF, and a member of the Urban Land Institute.
